Let’s be honest. 2023 has been a lot.
Big changes in the workforce and the advent of new AI tools have changed how researchers work, and how many of us are currently on the job market.
In this event, we’ll share some tips for securing contract research work, to get a leg-up on creating opportunities that might not yet exist as full-time jobs.
We’re also excited to open up the floor for any folks in the community who want to share their wins and stories from this year, and predictions for 2024 and beyond. See you there!

Thinking about applying to speak at UXRConf 23? You should. We encourage everyone, especially first-time speakers and early career researchers, to put forward their best ideas.
Quick Facts
Here are some things you should know before applying to speak at UXRConf:
- We will only be accepting submissions from individual speaker applicants this year, not co-speakers.
- Back by popular demand, our team will be hosting three workshops this February to guide you through choosing your talk topic before applying.
- All speakers will receive a $1,000 USD honorarium for participating in UXRConf.
- While UXRConf will be a fully remote experience this year, our team will be hosting in-person taping days on April 16 - 19 in Toronto, Canada which all speakers are required to attend. Travel to and from the speakers' home cities to Toronto, as well as three nights hotel accommodation will be provided.

Parts of UXRConf 23 will be pre-recorded this year. Instead of shipping film equipment across the world, our team will be hosting two film days late April or early May in Toronto, Canada.
